1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Snaptex ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Snaptex is a macOS application that provides Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to convert screenshots of text into editable content. The App processes content locally on your device.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for personal or commercial purposes on devices that you own or control.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not use the App to process copyrighted material without proper authorization
  • Not attempt to circumvent any security measures or access restrictions
  • Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

5. Privacy and Data Processing

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its source code, design, and documentation, is owned by us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you process through the App.

7. Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive for high accuracy in OCR recognition, we cannot guarantee that the App will:

  • Perfectly recognize all text content
  • Work with all image formats or quality levels
  • Function without interruption or be error-free
  • Meet your specific requirements or expectations

You acknowledge that OCR technology has inherent limitations and may require manual review and correction of results.

8. System Requirements

The App requires:

  • macOS 15.0 or later
  • Apple Silicon or Intel processor
  • 50MB available storage space
  • Screen recording permissions for screenshot functionality

9. Updates and Modifications

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Updates may be automatically downloaded and installed. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

12. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. You may terminate this agreement by deleting the App from your device. We may terminate or suspend your license at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [JURISDICTION TO BE SPECIFIED], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. App Store Terms

If you downloaded the App through the Mac App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and these Terms do not limit Apple's rights under the App Store Terms of Service.
